Intraspecific variation in photosynthetic efficiency in soybean (Glycine max L.) varieties towards solar ultraviolet radiations

In the current study, we used four soybean varieties PK-1029, PK-472, NRC-7, and Hardee to examine effect of exclusion solar UV radiation on photosynthetic efficiency test possible variety-dependent sensitivity ambient (280-400 nm). Plants that were grown under filters had higher chlorophyll a b, efficiencies PSII more active reaction centers indicated substantially affected by radiation. The significant increase in net photosynthesis was linked increased stomatal conductance lower intercellular concentration CO2 UV-excluded plants. seed mass per plant all as compared control; this indicates exclusions boost improve yield. overall cumulative stress response index implies PK-472 sensitive whereas NRC-7 PK-1029 resistant radiations.
